The territory of the Province of Pesaro-Urbino is full of events in every period of the year.

Below we will list some of the main events so that you can more easily organize the period of your stay.

Epiphany in Urbania; Urbania – January: during these days, the city of Urbania will transform itself into the City of the Epiphany by giving the keys of the town to the Befana in person.

La Battaglia del Metauro, Montefelcino – May: during this event it is possible to admire the reconstruction of the Roman and Punic camps and a Piceno village with scenarios of daily and military life of the populations during the Punic war period, everything will be faithfully reconstructed thanks to historical and philological researches, as well as clothes and accessories will be reconstructed and ancient crafts and military activities will be shown. The main moment of the event will be the re-enactment of the battle.

Europa Street Food Festival, Pesaro – June: the largest event in the Marche region dedicated to the varied world of street food, with Italian and international delicacies.

International Festival of Brodetto of Fano, Fano – July: festival dedicated to the world of seafood, maritime tradition and local food and wine culture; many activities for everyone: cooking shows, music, conferences, cooking lessons, tastings, courses and games.

Fiesta Globàl, July – Montefabbri: The Global Arts Festival is a container of activities and shows dedicated to the most varied artistic forms held every year in late July in the charming village of Montefabbri (PU). For a weekend, the small and beautiful castle of Montefabbri comes alive with the notes and colors of the most distant cultures, creating a small window on the world through the language of music, street theater, painting and art in general. In the streets and squares of the village, a hundred artists alternate between music bands, street artists, theater, jugglers, puppeteers, fire shows, deejay sets.

Siege of Gradara Castle, Gradara – July: Every year in Gradara the event in which the Malatesta stronghold was attacked, in 1446, by the powerful armies of the Sforza and Montefeltro is remembered.

PDO Carpegna Ham Festival, July – Carpegna: in the numerous food stands you can enjoy a complete menu with courses based on Carpegna PDO ham.

Feast of the Duke of Urbino, Urbino – August: during the Feast of the Duke of Summer, Urbino, the city comes alive thanks to the ancient crafts; from the blacksmith to the beater of the coin, from the leather worker to the goldsmith, but also with markets, musicians, numerous shows, inns offering typical products. The heart and soul of the party is represented by processions and historical re-enactments.

ROF Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro – August: The Rossini Opera Festival is the festival of opera that takes place every year in Pesaro, the city that gave birth to the great composer Gioachino Rossini.

Palio De Lo Daino, Mondaino – August: historical re-enactment that for over 30 years has been re-proposed in Mondaino, one of the most beautiful villages in Emilia Romagna. Four days of celebration, suggestive settings scattered throughout the country, over 300 figures ready to make you jump into the past to recall the day when the Lord of Rimini, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, met with Duke Federico from Montefeltro.

Kite Festival, Urbino – August: the Kite Festival of Urbino recalls the ten city districts that challenge each year in a colorful and spectacular competition that fascinates both young and old: a much awaited challenge, each district seeks victory with the kite that flies higher.

Truffle and Wood Products Market Exhibition, Apecchio – October: the Truffle Festival of Apecchio is an appointment that, on the first weekend of October, opens the series dedicated to this precious product that over time has taken on great fame and prestige. Small rooms of old houses are reborn creating characteristic restaurants with excellent local food, obviously also with truffles, well-kept typical inns or medieval taverns. All topped off by lively bands playing in the alleys and squares of the historic center.

National white truffle exhibition in Sant’Angelo in Vado, Sant’Angelo in Vado – October: Sant ‘Angelo in Vado is one of the richest cities in history, art and culture of the province of Pesaro-Urbino. In this magnificent historical-cultural setting every year the National White Truffle Exhibition takes place: on the streets of the historic center you will find many typical restaurants that will make you taste fantastic recipes based on truffles and other products of the gastronomic tradition of the Upper Metauro Valley.

Candles in Candelara, Pesaro – November / December: one of the most anticipated Christmas markets in Italy. The traditional appointment with bright candles of all shapes and colors await you to experience the magical festive atmosphere together.

If while walking through the markets the lights of Candelara go out, don’t worry, the beautiful hamlet of the municipality of Pesaro will be lit by candles for a few minutes. The warm candle lights will make the historic center even more fascinating.

The Via dei Presepi in Urbino, Urbino – December / January: The Via dei Presepi in Urbino is one of the traditional events in Urbino; over 30 exhibition points scattered through the streets, churches and shops of the city, where a hundred nativity scenes and nativity scenes will be found. Many collateral events that will bring the Christmas atmosphere to Urbino. Dozens of nativity scenes will be set up in the alleys, squares, historic buildings and oratories of the city.
