Located along the Umbrian-Marchigiano border, it is located within the territory of the municipalities of Cagli, Cantiano, Frontone and Serra Sant’Abbondio, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino; a place capable of offering unique landscapes and experiences.

This mountain was, from the past, a very important geographical reference for travelers who traveled along the Consular Road Flaminia. In particular, the Burano Gorge appeared as the best way of connecting the Adriatic coast with Rome.

But Monte Catria also has a place of honor in Italian literature: Dante mentions it within the Divine Comedy, in Canto XXI del Paradiso.
